Kiley and Cory threw a McCall micro wedding of 2020 at The Shore Lodge to celebrate their marriage with only their immediate families present. This sweet couple hired me originally for a HUGE party in McCall this August, but due to Covid-19, they made the hard decision to postpone the party to next year, but still get married with a micro wedding in 2020 on their original date. And it was truly the best of both worlds. These two knocked it out of the park with style, fun, and emotion!
As soon as I arrived at The Shore Lodge, Kiley greeted me with a huge hug and her entire family welcomed me as if I was one of their own. Kiley and Cory asked that all of their family wear white and black “black-tie” only. They pulled it off her sisters in floor-length white gowns, the dudes in black tuxes, and super cool sunglasses for everyone. Kiley went full boho glam with a wedding dress she found for under $200 on ASOS and hired McCall Weddings to create a dried textured bouquet that matched the vibe perfectly. Cory found the perfect velvet loafers and an all-white jacket that felt like an old Hollywood vibe. It was truly perfect.
After a round of shots before the ceremony, Kiley’s dad walked her down the docks of The Shore Lodge. Guests eating brunch cheered as they watched a bride with a long dramatic train walk through the outdoor pavilion making our way to the ceremony. On the docks, their families sat right on Payette Lake. Kiley’s grandparents watched from their boat waving excitedly the entire time as she walked down the aisle. Cory’s face melted when he saw Kiley. It was the sweetest ceremony with simple vows so they can share their personal ones for next year!
Once pronounced husband and wife, Kiley and Cory took photos with their family and shared a round of champagne toasts. Kiley and Cory had an idea of recreating a photo Cory’s parents took on their wedding day. On their wedding day, it was the hottest day recorded in Boise and they jumped into the pool at their venue in full wedding attire. Kiley and Cory decided to rent a vintage boat from The Shore Lodge to take photos around the lake and after the boat ride was finished, they leaped off the boat. It was truly an iconic moment in the making and so perfect for their free-spirited, adventurous souls!
I can’t wait for their wedding next year! Thank you Kiley and Cory for including me!
