Downtown Boise Maternity Photos
Denise came to me with a vision of taking urban downtown Boise maternity photos to celebrate her upcoming new baby. On a hot summer day, we met up at one of my close friend’s garage in downtown Boise to take photos. Denise inspires me SO much. Even when it’s 115 degrees and sweltering hot, Denise has a way of lighting up a room with her optimism. You might remember Denise and Blaze from their amazing Scandia Inn McCall Wedding. Every time I have photographed this incredible couple, the weather is extreme. Whether it’s a blizzard in the mountains for engagement photos, or a 115 degree summer day, we always shoot on crazy days.
Casual Maternity Photo Outfits
Our vision of cool, urban downtown Boise maternity photos came together perfectly. Denise envisioned a casual maternity outfit for her photos that embodied her body as it is now. I was so excited when she told me she wanted her belly out in the open and didn’t want to hide it behind a super flowy gown. She unbuttoned her light denim jeans so her adorable bump was on full display. Then, she wore a plain white bralette and layered it with an oversize white button top. To top it off, she wore bedazzled black boots. She looked effortlessly cool and so perfect. Also! Our dear friend and amazing Boise makeup artist Sarah did her makeup.
