The Fall is my favorite time of year to take Eagle Idaho Family Photos. I love the Rasmussen family and getting to take photos of them every year is a treat! This sweet family of 5 has the best style and their kids are so playful. I love when families just trust me to do my thing and document all the chaos. Lifestyle family photos are meant to be fun, chaotic, and a little crazy. The Rasmussen’s are always down to let me capture the raw moments- like when their youngest son Cal fell face forward into the mud and got dirt all over his face.

Tips for Picking Family Photo Outfits
- Ask your photo where your photos will be taken. Pick your colors around the location! Colors that are complimentary to a blue river, lake, etc. will be different than colors that will match a green meadow or orange foothills.
- Start with one bold item. I usually recommend starting with Mom’s outfit, but it’s best to start with the most vibrant clothing item. Whether that’s a loud pattern, the brightest color, etc. you’ll want to pick outfits around that one.
- Balance patterns and solids. Do not pick ALL patterns or ALL solids. Choosing a couple different patterns will create a balance of texture in your photos.
- Don’t put every person in your family in the same exact color.
- Put family members in layers and different types of clothes.
