It’s without question that when you hire Maggie as your Boise wedding photographer, she will deliver a phenomenal product. What makes her the absolute BEST is her commitment to your experience before, on, and after your wedding day. Our wedding day had a bumpy start; I can confidently say that it would not have been as wonderful as it turned out without Maggie. Maggie is incredibly talented at capturing beautiful moments in part because she is an expert in people. Both my partner and I dislike being the center of attention. We even debated if having a large wedding was for us. I actually dreaded the idea of having a photographer following me around, thinking it would make me uncomfortable and stiff during our wedding. I was eager to hire Maggie because of her rave reviews, yet I was still nervous. We did an engagement shoot with Maggie as a “warm up” and we were shocked with how carefree and lost in the moment we felt. Her cues are genius – you never feel overly posed, thus never feel awkward. This shines through in the photos. We were shocked to see how “us” they were. Before getting in front of the camera, she takes the time to get to know you and your partner, making the session feel laidback and fun. As for our wedding day, I truly had no idea how much we would need Maggie’s poise and professionalism. The start of the day was chaotic due to some issues with our planner. In ways I didn’t fully recognize at the time, Maggie picked up the slack. The fact that she made this her burden and not mine shows how committed she is to your needs and keeping you in high spirits. She sees herself not just as a photographer delivering a service, but as part of the team supporting you during one of life’s biggest moments.
Maggie was integral to keeping my soon-to-be husband, family, and wedding party stress-free leading up to the ceremony. That morning, in less than an hour, I went from hyperventilating from stress to genuinely laughing and feeling light as a feather due to being in her and her second shooter’s presence. As we got closer to needing to be at the ceremony venue, my anxiety would bubble up. I’d ask “are we okay on time?” and she made me feel like we had all the time in the world. In hindsight, she shifted the problem-solving off my plate to hers, and for that I am so grateful. All while doing this outside in 102 heat, with not one complaint. Truly an angel.
I’m convinced Maggie’s pièce de résistance is her energy. On our wedding day, she was kind and relaxed yet confident and assured, the perfect buoy on an emotional day, putting every family member, close friend, and guest at ease. For days after the wedding, people were singing her praises. Our families adored her and agreed she was key to moving past a subpar situation, allowing us to fully embrace each other and the love shared that day.
We are truly so lucky to have found Maggie as our Boise Wedding Photographer and to have put our trust in her. I would do it 1000x over. The photos are absolutely killer and we could not be happier with them!
