LGBTQ Boise Idaho Proposal

April and Anne are two of my favorite people so when they reached out about photographing their LGBTQ Boise Idaho Proposal, I said yes immediately. I photographed April and Anne in the fall of 2022. They responded to a mini session post on my IG and signed up. These two showed up rocking all Wild Fang clothes. Wild Fang is a Portland Oregon based clothing brand that is size inclusive and non-gendered. I definitely copied April and Anne by purchasing my own jumpsuit and coat from Wild Fang after I photographed them. I also fell in love with their adorable pup.

Anne texted me at the end of the summer asking if I would be willing to help document her proposing to April. I said yes immediately. Anne flew all their closest friends and family members into Boise to help make the event super special. We planned to meet along the Boise area at a beautiful spot overlooking the foothills. With huge towering trees lining the river, the fall colors were abundant and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Barber Park is the perfect spot to propose in Boise!

April’s friends brought her to our secret spot on the river as part of the last portion of her “surprise”. Anne had a picnic set up with flowers, champagne, a cozy rug, and pillows. As soon as April started walking down the bridge, they locked eye contact and both started weeping. I did too 😉 There’s nothing sweeter than documenting a queer couple in the state of Idaho getting engaged!

Anne dropped down on one knee and April immediately said yes. As soon as we started cheering, all of their friends and family appeared- surprising April. Their two dogs surrounded them and it was such a joyful exciting surprise. Having such supportive friends is truly such a gift. April and Anne are SO loved and it was so apparent!

We took some engagement photos in the fall colored trees before they left to celebrate with a giant party at home!

Congrats April and Anne!
