If you are in the middle of planning your Idaho Wedding, I’ve created a guide to the best North Idaho Wedding Venues. My hope is that I might convince you to get married in North Idaho’s lush region of Evergreen forests, massive lakes, rolling hills, and more. Most people don’t realize that North and South Idaho are completely different. No really, they have different time zones! North Idaho is unreal. Unlike the dryer region of South Idaho, North Idaho is a moist forest that feels more similar to the true PNW. I’m biased, but I love North Idaho. In fact, I’m planning my own wedding at Idaho’s famous Lake Pend Orielle!
The Best Time Of Year To get Married in North Idaho
Most people who get married in North Idaho choose to get married in June, July, August, or September. North Idaho experiences a dramatic true 4 seasons. In the middle of winter, the sun sets before 4pm in North Idaho! There is an abundance of skiing, mountains, and winter recreation in the winter months, but it’s definitely not a popular time to plan your wedding. On the flip side, the spring and fall shoulder seasons can also drag on and feel chilly. The average temperature in Coeur D’ Alene Idaho in June is just 68 degrees with 10 days of rain. It’s common to get snow in early May and late September. Good weather is short lived in North Idaho!

I love, love Elkins Resort. This spot is undeniably one of the best lakeside lodges or resorts in the entire state. Elkins Resort has a couple dozen small cabins along the lake shores and a stunning historic log cabin style lodge. Also, the food is incredible. This location is rather remote and hard to reach, so it’s a suitable wedding venue for adventure lovers! Check out Xandy and Katie’s wedding blog on my website here.
