One Wild Weekend With Untamed Energy: An Idaho Mountain Wedding

It takes a special couple like Keila and Kyle to throw a full weekend long Idaho Mountain wedding with untamed energy. Not every couple has the community and group of friends to rally for 3.5 days under one roof. And a few tents. And some camper vans. But- Keila and Kyle share a group of friends committed to celebrating in the biggest way. With so much passion and love, they gathered in Garden Valley Idaho at a private residence. Their wedding events kicked off on Wednesday by brewery hopping through downtown Boise and concluded on Sunday afternoon with brunch. Every moment felt genuine- not forced, faked, or performative. In fact, I think this group of people could have spent another week together under one roof singing all night long.

Planning Keila and Kyle’s Wedding Day Around FUN moments & JOY

The moment we met, we instantly clicked. Keila and Kyle expressed how important it was to find an inclusive wedding photographer who made their diverse group of friends feel safe and comfortable. And they wanted a photographer who got on the dance floor with them. Inviting a photographer into an intimate weekend meant they needed someone who they truly could be best friends with. Not just any photographer could join in on their Idaho Mountain Wedding. And I’m so thrilled that we formed a real connection.

Immediately, their group of friends felt so similar to mine. Queer, trans, advocates, diverse, allies, and inclusive are words I’d use to describe my own friends. Every person made me feel instantly at home when I talked to them. The moment I met each of Keila and Kyle’s friends, they hugged me as if I had known them all their life. Such a close knit group of friends feels even more rare than ever. I felt truly touched being welcomed so lovingly into their lives.

The priority for their weekend was to A) dance to CharlieXCX as much as possible B) laugh constantly C) spend every moment present with their favorite people. An Idaho Mountain Wedding became the perfect setting to dance and laugh all weekend long. Kyle and Keila got engaged at a music festival in Bend, Oregon. Choosing a non-traditional private residence in Garden Valley mirrored their story perfectly.
