Redfish Lake Idaho Elopement

A Redfish Lake Idaho Elopement

Alex and Riley dreamed of a romantic Redfish Lake Idaho elopement with just the two of them and their perfect dog. They met on Tinder during the Pandemic and it only took one date to decide to be a couple. Ever since then, they’ve been inseparable. Alex told me her favorite thing about Riley was that he was so patient and truly her favorite person to hang out with. Shortly after getting engaged, they both knew that eloping was their style. Both of them have huge families so they decided to keep their elopement for two a secret.

An All Inclusive Idaho Elopement Package

I teamed up with the incredible Emily Aitken Events for Alex and Riley’s Redfish Lake Idaho elopement! Emily and I offer an all inclusive Idaho Elopement package together, which is very popular in the Sawtooths. Our elopement packages include photography coverage, location scouting, elopement planning & on site coordination, custom design mood board, custom bouquet, tablescape for two, timeline creation, and more! Our intent was to create a one stop shop with our elopement package. We both specialize in intimate weddings and elopements. Elopements are our jam! We are both passionate about helping couples create their dream Idaho elopement! You’ve seen us work together here for Kortney and Brad’s Stanley Idaho elopement. Our work was also published by Junebug Weddings here for this wintery Stanley Lake Idaho Elopement.

Reasons to Elope in Idaho:

  2. Idaho has 12 million acres of public lands in Idaho! There are countless spots where you can legally elope without obtaining permits or paying fees.
  3. If you’ve always dreamed of getting married in front of a stunning lake, Idaho has more than 2,000 alpine lakes in the state! Whether you want to hike to a high elevation lake in the mountains (like this couple!) or camp on the edge of a pristine lake, there are many options.

Moody Fall Elopement in the Mountains

Alex and Riley’s style leans more moody. Because they were getting married in the mountains at the end of the September, they knew the chances of cold weather were high. Alex found a gorgeous long sleeve lace gown with lots of layers of tulle. Her incredible black diamond engagement ring inspired her moody fall bridal bouquet with dark purples and blush accent colors. Alex wore a dark navy suit with a purple pocket square. The details came together perfectly.

Idaho Elopement Timeline

The best thing about eloping is that you can do whatever you want on your own schedule. We planned Alex and Riley’s ceremony to happen just before sunset. Sun filtered through the mountains as they spoke their vows and said I Do! While we ran off to take sunset photos along the creek, Emily Aitken set up a gorgeous sweetheart tablescape for two filled with desserts, wedding cake, and a charcuterie board. We gave Alex and Riley about 45 minutes alone so they could sit at their table snd enjoy eating their dessert with the most stunning view of Redfish Lake.

As the sun dropped below the mountains, I suggested we drive a couple miles down the road to catch blue hour. We took blue hour photos in a beautiful meadow. I always encourage taking a few photos at the end of the elopement once all the nerves and excitement of the ceremony are over. It provides a moment of pure elation and happiness knowing you are now officially married and you DID it. Alex and Riley’s blue hour photos were so stunning. I love how carefree they feel and how true to the moment they are!
