Award Winning Scotland Engagement Photos in Glencoe

Yip & Bruce’s award winning Scotland Engagement Photos in Glencoe truly stole my heart. Everything about the wonderful experience of taking their photos in my favorite place felt cup-filling and joyful. It just so happened that Yip reached out to me the same week I was already in Scotland. Not only did she email me while I was in Scotland, but I had just gotten engaged. She wrote to me asking if I might be available during their trip to Scotland for a romantic couples photoshoot. It felt like fate when our schedules overlapped and I was able to document their love.

Glencoe Scotland Proposal Photos

Just a week before we were set to meet in Glencoe, Yip posted on Instagram that Bruce had popped the question! I wrote to her right away that I felt so lucky to now get to document their engagement celebration on their trip while I was also just newly engaged- also in Scotland. Now we would be taking their Scotland Engagement Photos!

Giddy, I spent a few days leading up to their Scotland Engagement Photos scouting for the perfect spot. If you don’t recognize her already, Yip is a decorated Paraolympian from Singapore who specializes in the backstroke as a swimmer. She has won the gold medal six times in her swimming events! Scotland’s rugged beauty isn’t without its challenges with rocky pathways, but I wanted to fulfill her dreams of a wild, adventurous photoshoot in the Scottish Highlands.

Sure enough, the viewing area at Three Sisters Glencoe became the perfect spot for their Scotland Engagement Photos. The views are outstanding just from the car park alone. And, the history behind these gorgeous mountains goes back centuries. I knew it would blow them away. Sure enough, as soon as they stepped out of the car, they loved it.

Destination Photographer in Scotland

When looking for an engagement or couples photographer in Scotland, I recommend looking for a destination photographer with loads of experience. A photographer who knows the region well will have secret locations, trails, and sights off the beaten path. I have traveled to Scotland eleven times and consider myself an expert. Scotland remains one of the most romantic destinations in the world for couples to travel to. Also, it’s a damn great place to take romantic couples photos or take your Scotland engagement photos!

Junebug’s Top 50 Best Engagement Photos in the World

Every year, Junebug Weddings hosts the Top 50 Best of the Best contest. This year, I was asked by an editor to submit a photo from Yip and Bruce’s Scotland Engagement Photos. Incredibly honored, I submitted my favorite one. Much to my surprise and awe, it was chosen as the top 50 best engagement photo in the world- globally! As a destination photographer and Scotland wedding photographer, I couldn’t be more happy. Also, to celebrate a couple like Yip and Bruce feels so wonderful. Yip has been an advocate for inclusivity in sports and to have representation in the wedding photography industry is huge.
