A warm, carefree approach to family photography

every family is different and every child is different. I approach every family photo-session as an opportunity to create a shared family memory together. Capturing children being themselves and express who they are freely brings me so much joy. I never want to stifle a child’s personality or force them to act in an unnatural way. I encourage children to “be the boss” during our photoshoot and let them play, explore, dream, and feel confident every step of the way.

the process

I offer family sessions Monday through Thursdays during peak wedding season of June-September. Email me with your preferred date, location, and vision. Then, I’ll send you my available dates and start planning your shoot!

I require a 25% deposit to secure your shoot date. The final payment is due 48 hours before your family photoshoot.

We will collaborate to create a photoshoot that reflects a favorite family memory. I’ll send you a questionnaire to get to know you a little better and find out what you & your family love doing together. Then, we will come up with location ideas, activities, and creative ways to make your family photoshoot a blast for the kiddos. I encourage play, games, books, and fun activities!

I’ll show up 15 early minutes to our pre-arranged shoot location. Sometimes, I will send you a GPS pin or I’ll have you follow me in my car! Getting there early ensures we have time to break the ice, meet the kiddos, and “warm up”.

I will hand-edit your photo gallery (no Ai on my end!) and curate a gallery with 75-100 edited images. I will deliver the gallery within 4-6 weeks of your shoot date!

1. What makes your Family photoshoots different?
My approach prioritizes the experience of your children. My hope is that they feel loved, comfortable, and EXCITED to take family photos. Leaving them with a positive experience matters most for me. I spent 10+ years as professional nanny and my relationship with every child in front of my camera matters. I want children to feel empowered and free to express themselves. You deserve photos that capture who they are and what makes each child special and unique.
2. Do you PHOTOGRAPH EXTENDED FAMILIES?
Yes! Contact me for a personalized quote for an extended family shoot. Capturing multiple generations and your family memories is a tremendous honor. I love capturing the individual family members, each family, grandparents, grandkids, cousins, and all the important relationships that exist within one family. My extended family sessions start at $1800.
3. DO YOU TRAVEL?
Absolutely. I include travel prices in my quotes for any shoot beyond Idaho. I frequently travel to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, Moab Utah, Glacier National Park in Montana, the Sawtooths, Sun Valley Idaho, and beyond. I’ll go anywhere and everywhere!
4. How many family members can i include in our family photoshoot?
I don’t charge extra per family member. Bring everyone and all your pets, please 🙂 It’s a party.
5. Do you offer mini sessions?
I only offer mini sessions locally in Boise Idaho on a limited basis. To sign up for my mini sessions, I release dates and slots via my email list. Subscribe here for my mini sessions or inquire for a full Sun Valley Idaho family photoshoot or family photoshoot in Idaho.
6. Do you offer digital files along with albums and prints?
Yes, I offer high-resolution digital files of all the images you select for your album or print. These are provided in an online gallery, giving you easy access to download or share with family and friends. Additionally, you can use the digital files for future prints or keepsakes.
