As a destination wedding photographer living in Boise, I understand why couples feel hard pressed to find inspiring locations to host their wedding. If you’re craving an experience that feels like you, I’ve curated a list of the best modern Boise wedding venues across the valley. (1) The Lark House located in Meridian Idaho

This brand new to Meridian Idaho wedding venue is located 20 minutes from downtown Boise in Meridian. Perfect for micro-weddings or larger events, the Lark House can accommodate 30-180 guests. On weekdays, their venue rate starts at $3,500. On weekends, you can book this stunning venue for $6,000 with a minimum of 125 guests. The space feels inspired by French art and architecture, featuring elegant French doors onto a stunning patio. The checkered tile feels vintage, but elegant and modern. The clean interior creates a perfect space to design! Another special perk to The Lark house is exclusive catering with Whitney Fredin Events.

(2) The Lively in Downtown Boise Idaho

Foodies flock to The Lively for a one of a kind culinary experience. Their custom specialty cocktails will also blow you away. If you are hoping to provide your guests with the best meal they’ve ever had and an experience they’ll feel spoiled by, The Lively is the spot. Non-traditional couples have expressed to me how relaxed and easy they felt during their wedding at The Lively. If you want a wedding that doesn’t “feel” like a wedding, look no further. The restaurant is fully operational and offers couples the chance for a full restaurant buy out. Located across from the Idaho Capitol in the heart of downtown, there are ample urban photo opportunities as well. A full buy out starts at $17,000.

(3) Magnolia Reserve (formerly Magnolia Cottage)

The Magnolia Reserve, formally known as Magnolia Cottage, in Emmett Idaho promises an intimate, elegant setting. With elegant architecture, manicured gardens, and tasteful indoor spaces that photograph beautifully year-round, Magnolia Cottage stands out among the barn venues in Emmett. The dedicated event spaces and thoughtful layout make ceremony-to-reception flow absolutely effortless for an outdoor/indoor immersive experience. The cottage’s charm provides built-in decorations, reducing the need for heavy styling or expensive rentals. The stunning open light-filled rooms and lush outdoor nooks provide countless photo backdrops. During Peak season, their rates range from $3600-5900. Non-peak season rates vary from $3000-4900.

(4) The Cottage at Riverbend in Eagle Idaho

You can find The Cottage at Riverbend in Eagle Idaho on my blog several times. This stunning wedding venue offers an exclusive multi-night stay at the Spanish abode and historic home on site. The gorgeous property features unbelievably beautiful tall trees throughout and a lush garden feel. Neighboring the property, you’ll find the river and a gorgeous bit of beach for photos or a first look. Weekend rates begin at $6400-11,000. (5) Idaho Botanical Gardens in the East End of Boise

The Idaho Botanical Garden offers a naturally elegant setting for outdoor weddings with multiple gorgeous ceremony sites (rose garden, amphitheater, perennial borders). If you have a community centered heart, the Idaho Botanical Gardens is also a non-profit! The gardens are perfect for every type of wedding from intimate elopements up to mid‑sized celebration. After inquiring with the Idaho Botanical Gardens myself for my own wedding, they can fit 50–250 guests depending on the chosen lawn or garden space. Couples get beautiful, low‑maintenance scenery that mean you need almost zero decor or added design installations. Site fees and packages vary by season and exact space, but the rental fee begins at $3000. The Botanical also allows you to choose your own wedding vendors and catering staff! Lastly, this amazing location is one of the few modern Boise wedding venues that is inclusive to queer and LGBTQ couples.

(6) Stueckle Sky Center at the Boise State Football Field

The Steuckle Sky Center at Boise State offers a modern, super airy backdrop. With extremely high ceilings, lots of light, all glass windows floor to ceiling, and sweeping views that make for a one of a kind experience. Football fans and sports lovers will love the views of the blue football field below and the dramatic views looking over downtown and the mountains. Depending on the setup and which rooms or terraces you use, it typically accommodates roughly 75–400 guests!

(7) Hotel Renegade in Downtown Boise Idaho

Getting married at Hotel Renegade gives you a sleek, downtown option for your magical event! If urban vibes speak to you, this might be your spot. You can choose between the Highlander bar rooftop terrace with city and mountain views for your wedding ceremony OR the Overland Ballroom (2,760 sq ft) that seats up to 180 guests. This brand new modern, upscale hotel provides in-house catering and event support. The biggest perk by far is the luxurious on-site guest rooms.

With 122 guest rooms, multi-day wedding weekends and out‑of‑town guests are super easy to accommodate. Pricing varies by season, guest count and chosen space. The wedding reception/site‑fee starts roughly around $2,400–$3,000 during the slow season, while renting the full‑venue and full wedding package start around $5,000 starts with a minimum spend of $90/pp for food and beverage. I love the location in the heart of downtown Boise. The sweeping panoramic views of the foothills, Bogus Basin, and the Capitol are beautiful from the roof.

(8) The Avery Hotel in Boise


If you want a wedding that tastes as incredible as it looks, The Avery truly delivers. Providing an intimate, chef-driven experience with an award‑winning kitchen known for seasonal, ingredient-forward menus and beautifully plated courses turn dinner into your wedding centerpiece. The space feels elevated but so cozy. For lovers of art and culture, the eclectic art collection throughout are so fun to experience as you meander through the hotel. The Avery’s hotel rooms are individually designed with thoughtful details and art. Beyond the food, you can expect attentive service, thoughtful wine pairings, and a warm, polished atmosphere that makes your celebration feel curated rather than cookie-cutter.

(9) CW Penthouse in Boise

The CW Plaza Penthouse has elegant ballrooms and city-facing views that feel both grand and modern. As a unique wedding venue in Boise, it is known locally for strong service and culinary quality. Plus, its downtown location and on‑site amenities (AV, parking, nearby hotels) create a seamless, guest‑friendly weekend.

(10) White Barn in Emmett

The White Barn in Emmett is perfect if you want a charming, elevated aesthetic with plenty of open space. Although this is technically a barn, it is so far from the traditional rustic barn we have all seen. If you are picturing yourself getting married with exposed beams, string lights, and a blank‑slate barn, it’s extremely easy to personalize. The ceremony space on the lawn has beautiful tall willow trees and mature old trees to frame an elegant spot to say your vows. The interior of the barn has tall ceilings and a blank all white canvas. This venue fits 50-200 guests and starts at $7000.

(11) Fourth Street Gardens in Emmett

The Fourth Street Gardens used to be a prominent wedding venue that recently switched ownership. Shelby Donald Events now owns and operates this adorable Victorian home and wedding venue outside of Boise. Pricing starts at $6000 for weddings and events with a capacity of 200 wedding guests. The property has full parking for all your guests, two getting ready spaces, a gorgeous lawn and garden, and the historic victorian home as the perfect backdrop.c

(12) Willow Creek Idaho in Star, Idaho

If you ever grew up watching Father of the Bride, Willow Creek reminds me exactly of the gorgeous backyard wedding from such an iconic film. The gorgeous tree lined driveway sets a romantic, tucked away feeling. Located 30 minutes from Boise, Willow Creek featured a stunning lawn space for your outdoor ceremony as well as a beautiful outdoor patio surrounded by trees that provide ample shade. The white house with adorable shutters provide so much charm and an elegant, warm feeling. Willow Creek’s event pricing starts at $6295.

(13) Chateau Des Fleurs in Eagle Idaho


Thinking super classic meets European romance? The Chateau in Eagle delivers a true fairytale setting with elegant ballrooms, manicured grounds, and plenty of photo locations. It’s the perfect wedding venue if you want timeless glamour with plenty of room to celebrate. I know for a fact that there aren’t any wedding venues on this list or in Boise that offer the same level of glamorous style. The modern Boise wedding venue has multiple rooms to fit any size wedding, whether you are hosting an intimate 15 person wedding or 300 guests in the ballroom. On site catering and beer and wine makes service a breeze.

(14) The Train Depot overlooking Boise Idaho on the Bench

Do you want drama and a view? The Boise Depot delivers both. I don’t think there’s a better view of Boise from any wedding venue in the Treasure Valley. Think grand Beaux‑Arts architecture, sweeping city-and-foothill panoramas, and picture-perfect photo ops at every turn. You can host anything from a cozy seated affair to a lively cocktail bash at this historic Boise site. With a capacity of 300+ guests, you can throw a large party with all of your favorite people. Costs vary depending on the season, but site fees start at only $1400 for this amazing space. I am a huge fan of the interior architecture and Spanish style room. I have personally witnessed out of town guests marvel at the stunning location and views from The Train Depot. This beautiful space can be easily tailored as one of the modern Boise wedding venues with indoor & outdoor ceremony options.

(15) Deer Flat Ranch near Nampa Idaho on Lake Lowell

Deer Flat Ranch feels like a hidden gem tucked away from the urban metropolitan area. However, you don’t have to settle for rustic barn vibes by escaping to the countryside. Deer Flat Ranch has a gorgeous modern event space with a slightly industrial feel. Clean bright white walls and giant windows allow natural light galore. The magical lawn and tall trees frame a perfect view of Lake Lowell. This is one of the only modern Boise wedding venues with the capacity to fit 300+ wedding guests! A castle? In the North End? It almost seems too good to be true, but sure enough, this is one of the most stunning modern Boise wedding venues. Restored to feature a clean, elegant interior with prominent massive windows allow so much natural light.
