Nicole & Oodie // Oregon Coast Engagement at Cannon Beach // Oregon Wedding Photographer

By November 23, 2020 No Comments

Last fall, I was lucky enough to spend a week at the Oregon Coast with two of my best friends. We stayed in a house inches from the coastline with views for days with a bunch of creatives and had the most incredible time. Nicole and Oodie have one of the best love stories in the entire world. These two met just days after Oodie moved to Austin from Dallas at a pool party. It was basically love at first sight. After sharing crushes on one another for months, they made things official and one thing led to another. Soon enough they adopted a dog together, moved into a studio apartment together, and began their beautiful shared life together. These two love vintage shopping, bright colors, their furry animals, and eating in diners. I’ve known Nicole for five years and the moment I met Oodie, I immediately felt like I’d made a lifelong best friend, too.

During our time in the PNW, Nicole and Oodie dressed up in their favorite complimentary outfits and modeled for us for a fun Oregon Coast engagement session. I had the most fun time taking photos of them in a little patch of forest with mossy trees and light that streamed through, illuminating their love. Nicole and Oodie’s love is so effortless. I love shooting couples who come together and are able to immediately comfort one another and disappear into their own world. These two are as playful as they are sweet and romantic. I love their giggles as much as I adore their finger kisses. It was so inspiring to shoot them in the forest.

Later that evening, we decided to head to the beach and shoot on the beach. The temperatures dropped significantly, but they both weathered the chilly beach to take advantage of the glowy sunset off Hug Point. Although they were already engaged, Nicole wanted to propose to Oodie after Oodie’s surprise proposal in the spring, so Nicole got down on one knee at the beach just as the sun dipped below the horizon and presented them with a gold chain necklace. It was so sweet and everyone watching had huge tears falling down their faces.

I’m so honored to call these two my friends and I fully plan on sharing their incredible New Orleans elopement with you soon!
