A Boise Wedding Photographer’s Guide To The Best Boise Idaho Wedding Venues
I have been a Boise Wedding Photographer for 12 years in the Treasure Valley! In the decade I’ve spent living and working in the wedding industry, I’ve worked at nearly every Boise Idaho Wedding Venue. From Rustic to modern, to campgrounds to city, and the ranch venues to gardens- Boise has a mix of it all! Here is a roundup of my favorite wedding venues in Boise Idaho.
(1) Sixty Chapel in Garden Valley, Idaho
Okay, okay.. I know Sixty Chapel is technically located outside of Boise, Idaho- BUT! Hear me out. It is only 55 minutes from Boise to Garden Valley. If you truly want to get married in the mountains but you want to get married close to Boise, Sixty Chapel is the best of the best. Several of my clients have paid for shuttles to drive their wedding guests to and from the wedding venue. Also, if you are concerned about the distance- the wedding venue sleeps nearly 40 people on site. Unfortunately, there are no hotels in Garden Valley, but there are lots of Airbnb’s (like this famous Airbnb with a hot spring!). Guests can still drive back to Boise easily, but they also have the option of spending the night in the mountains! It’s a win/win.

(2) Cottage at Riverbend in Eagle, Idaho
There are no other wedding venues on this list that can boast about having a Spanish style remodeled home and a stunning back lawn surrounded by mature trees also located on the river. The ample shade on site protect guests during hot summer days and the stunning venue has the feel of an upscale but intimate backyard wedding. The Cottage at Riverbend allows you to rent the on site home for two nights so you aren’t restricted to only a 5-8 hour window to set up and tear down.

(3) Deer Flat Ranch in Nampa, Idaho
Located on Lake Lowell in Nampa, Idaho, the stunning Deer Flat Ranch offers a modern, clean space. With beautiful views of the Treasure Valley and a gorgeous interior space with all glass windows, Deer Flat Ranch truly is a hidden gem. Unfortunately, you will have to bring in all your own rentals. However, if you look at it as an opportunity to use a blank canvas to bring out your personality and unique design- this might be the perfect venue for you!

(4) Botanical Gardens in Boise Idaho
I love every opportunity to support a local community non-profit. The Botanical Gardens host vibrant community events year round. From Drag shows, concerts, Winter Aglow, and more- almost everyone who calls Boise home holds dear memories of the Botanical Gardens close to their heart. Their stunning gardens are a perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony and portraits. Also, I love the option of renting an house in Boise’s East End for getting ready photos and renting the Boise Trolly to arrive on site.

(5) Mint Barrel Barn in Nampa, Idaho
Of course, when you are searching for a Boise Idaho Wedding Venue, you will come across many barns. However, the Mint Barrel Barn outside Nampa, Idaho is definitely the best. The location is paradise for a Boise Wedding Photographer. There are tons of old, mature trees, water features, and stunning locations for photos. You have the option of holding your wedding ceremony either indoors OR outdoors. It’s never a bad idea to have a wedding venue with backup options in case of bad weather in Idaho!

(6) The Hotel Renegade in Boise, Idaho
Downtown urban meets upscale, modern design! The Hotel Renegade opened in 2024 and has been a favorite spot of mine for weddings and pleasure. The Highlander Bar rooftop bar is one of the best bars in Boise. With 360 degree panoramic views of Downtown Boise, The Foothills, and Bogus Basin, it’s one of the most gorgeous views to get a cocktail. I stayed in their deluxe suites for a staycation and can attest to the unique design, comfortable beds, and amazing amenities. Their hotel has two restaurants, a coffee shop, a bar, and a ballroom for weddings. I believe Hotel Renegade is going to take the Boise wedding industry by storm and is one of the best Boise Idaho Wedding Venues!

(7) The Boise Train Depot
If you’ve been on my blog, you have probably seen several Boise Train Depot weddings! I love the Boise Train Depot so much. No matter the season, the views from the Train Depot are hard to beat. Also, I’m a history nerd and I love the incredible architecture throughout. It’s one of the most stunning Boise Idaho Wedding Venues and also one of the most affordable. Taking wedding portraits here is a breeze with so many spots to take photos. Whether you use the Platt Gardens, the front parking lot, or the building as a backdrop, it’s an amazing spot for photos. I love working here as a Boise Wedding Photographer.

(8) Chateau Des Fleurs in Eagle, Idaho
European elegance meets Boise, Idaho! One of the most amazing Boise Idaho Wedding Venues that feels like it came straight from Europe, this stunning Chateau is beyond gorgeous. The Chateau Des Fleurs is easily the most glamorous wedding venue on this list. If you are dreaming of a French or Italian inspired wedding without traveling to Europe with 200-300 of your wedding guests, this wedding venue might fit your dream vision!

(9) Bungalow on Boise, Boise Idaho Wedding Venue
Similar to Cottage at Riverbend, the Bungalow on Boise is a new Airbnb and wedding venue in Boise’s North End! Their adorable A-Frame Bungalow feels similar to a cabin and has so much coziness. Boise’s North End has an atmosphere unlike anything else in Boise. Its proximity to downtown, the foothills, and the gorgeous treelined streets are something out of a storybook. If you’re looking for a budget friendly wedding venue and a cozy backyard wedding feel, this Boise Idaho Wedding Venues might be for you.

(10) Trica Castle in Downtown Boise Idaho
I can’t believe more people haven’t heard about the Trica Castle in Boise, Idaho! A castle in the middle of Boise’s North End is hard to miss and impossible to forget. The stunning Trica Castle has the feel of a medieval stone castle on the outside, yet the inside feels modern, sleek, and upscale. The natural light from the enormous windows looking out onto 13th Street in Boise’s North End is stunning for amazing wedding photos.
