I have raved about how much I love Stanley Idaho on my blog before, so having the opportunity to take this couple’s 20th Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch Anniversary Photoshoot was a joy. Traveling all the way from Washington DC, this couple wanted to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in a big way. They told me they spent months researching luxury all inclusive ranches across the Rocky Mountain states searching for the perfect spot. Searching for a ranch wasn’t hard, but nailing down one spot among the dozens they found was hard. They searched Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and finally- Idaho, until stumbling upon the amazing Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch. I’m so glad they did! With dozens of high elevation alpine lakes, I guarantee you haven’t seen such clear water in your life. If you are a fan of skiing, perhaps you’ve heard of Sun Valley Idaho. Sun Valley is less than 45 minutes away and is famous for its iconic ski resort, the Sun Valley Ski Resort. Filled with adorable boutiques, designer shopping, art galleries, and history- it is an amazing mountain town worth the visit. Literary fans will love the Earnest Hemingway Memorial In Sun Valley as well. If you’re looking for more rustic than bougie, Stanley Idaho is a mountaineering recreation paradise. In Stanley you’ll find backpackers, one gas station, a couple saloons, and lots of vans. The nearest city is Boise, Idaho which is also a popular city to visit with lots of breweries, shopping, river recreation, Boise State University, and more. - Romance: I’ve rarely seen any hotel or resort truly master the luxurious rustic aesthetic like Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch. Their cozy log cabins are simple, yet tasteful and luxurious. Without a television inside, they offer board games, books, a deck of cards, and an amazing wood burning fireplace in every cabin. Also, every single cabin has an amazing panoramic view of the mountains from the front porch. I have never seen anything like it.
