This amazing queer couple’s LGBTQ New Orleans Elopement at The Louie blew me away. Their attention to detail, fashion, retro vintage design, and love story all felt so special. It felt like a dream come true to photograph their LGBTQ New Orleans Elopement. I can’t imagine a better city in the United States to celebrate queer love so loudly and boldly! Queer joy is the best joy to capture. Traveling to New Orleans for a destination elopement all the way from Idaho was an amazing experience. I’ve never photographed a wedding with so much vibrancy and rich tones and colors before.

Planning A Destination Elopement in New Orleans

I am an LGBTQ photographer based in Idaho, but I travel everywhere. This amazing wedding was designed by another LGBTQ Boise Wedding Vendor. My friend Emily Aitken Events planned their New Orleans elopement from Idaho. The day came together perfectly with her expertise. Her design for their New Orleans Elopement perfectly reflected this couple and their love for thrifting, vibrant color, glitter, and fun. The inspiration from her wedding design came from the couple themselves. They sent photos of their living room and home decor to her in addition to favorite art pieces and wedding inspiration. It all came together so well. Balancing the queer femme vibes of Nic’s look and the masc non-binary style of Oodie’s look meshed so well.
