Chelsea and Lloyd hired me to document their Trail Creek Cabin Wedding and it was an experience I will NEVER forget. Their fall wedding was full of emotion, care free moments, so many tears, and incredible style. Drawn to a western style of the Rocky Mountains, they chose to fuse glamorous vibes with a twist of Western boho flair. Every detail felt so true to who they are as a couple. And to make their day even more amazing, they hired an amazing team of the best Sun Valley Idaho wedding vendors ever. Nothing makes me happier than working with an amazing bride and groom who builds a team of top tier professional wedding vendors who make the day so easy!
Shooting in Sun Valley Idaho never, ever gets old. The beauty of this magnificent sliver of Idaho feels like a gift every time I’m hired to travel there from Boise. Undoubtedly, Sun Valley is the most luxurious mountain town in the entire state and one of the greatest places to ski and enjoy the Rocky Mountains in the United States. I have been an Idaho Wedding Photographer for 14 years! In my opinion, Idaho is one of the most underrated spots in the country to get married. The beauty of Idaho’s Rocky Mountains are so beautiful and it is lesser known than surrounding states with crowded National Parks. Read my guide about planning your Sun Valley Idaho Wedding here!
If you are getting marred in Sun Valley, I highly recommend booking your venue as soon as you can. Sun Valley is the most popular place in Idaho to get married, but there are very few wedding venues. Also, wedding season in Idaho is very short and typically weddings only happen June through September. Wedding Venues in Sun Valley book up fast with Saturdays usually getting filled up 12-18 months in advance. If you are flexible, getting married on a Friday or Sunday does open up more vendor availability!
Another recommendation I have for couples who want to have a Trail Creek Cabin Wedding is to hire local wedding vendors. Not only because it supports local small business owners and artists, but because Sun Valley is a small town where vendor relationships go very far. The weather in Sun Valley is extremely temperamental. Also, it is a very remote location and hard to reach! Choosing local vendors ensures. a smooth experience all the way around.
