Aly and Aaron’s Sixty Chapel Idaho Wedding in the Rocky Mountains was a wildflower Western inspired boho dream. Inspired by their love for gathering with their people in the mountains, they chose to get married at a unique venue where they could party for an entire weekend with their friends and family. Their community is who Aly and Aaron are. Their group of friends is close knit and extremely adventurous. Aaron is a fly fishing guide in the West and met most of his friends on the river having a blast in the wilderness. Aly also shares a deep love for the Idaho wilderness and mountains.
On a perfect early June summer day, Aly and Aaron got ready surrounded by friends. Aly and Aaron wanted to save their “first look” for when they were walking down the aisle. I am totally team #nofirstlook. Instead of a first look, Aly and Aaron shared private vows alone. However, instead of facing one another, they stood back to back holding hands. It was incredibly intimate and sweet to share their vows this way before the ceremony. And, they still didn’t violate their no first look rule! Their Sixty Chapel Idaho Wedding couldn’t have been more perfect.
A Boho Idaho Summer Mountain Wedding
Aly loves wildflowers more than just about anything. She wanted the entire wedding to feel inspired by Idaho wildflowers. Using flower petals she dried in the weeks prior to their wedding, she glued wildflowers into her hair. They cascaded down her flowing brown hair. It was SO gorgeous. In addition to putting wildflowers in her hair, their wedding cake also had a wildflower theme with dried petals. Their flowers felt free, wild, and full of joyful early summer color!
Aly is also an expert vintage collector and thrifter. Every detail of their wedding was handpicked and thrifted in the months leading up to their wedding. The plates she thrifted came from a local Salvation army. The boho rattan chargers came from Goodwill. To add a touch of whimsy, she added bright colored wildflowers to the table settings that matched her hair and wedding cake! The entire wedding felt boho and whimsical with a touch of western vibes.
I could honestly write about these two forever. Their ceremony was one of the most emotional I’ve ever witnessed. Aly’s brother officiated their ceremony and weaved in stories from their years spent together. Aaron’s reaction to seeing Aly for the first time walking down the aisle was so incredible. He couldn’t stop smiling! To showcase their love of wine, Aly and Aaron shared a toast with all their guests at the altar. Aaron even speared the wine cork off the bottle!
