Evan and Erika’s Stone Crossing Boise Wedding was full of personality and style. I think their wedding wins for best details and most use of color ever. I love fall weddings. The rich colors, use of different textures, and lighting is so hard to beat. Evan and Erika chose to get married in the peak Boise fall on an October day. The weather couldn’t have been better. It was just under 65 degrees, sunny, and golden outside. I can’t ask for much more as a Boise Wedding Photographer than a fall wedding on a blue sky day.
Idaho Wedding Photographer
Like most modern love stories these days, Evan and Erika’s began on Hinge. Their first date over cocktails led to dinner which then led to being inseparable. Erika was in her residency at the time training to become an OBGYN. Evan works in medical sales. They found common ground in their passion for their jobs and careers. These two are independent but value a shared partnership supporting one another. When they aren’t working, they love snuggling their puppy and are major foodies. Dancing and listening to live music is also one of their favorite past times together!
Stone Crossing Boise Wedding Venue
If you’ve never heard of the Stone Crossing Boise Wedding Venue, you need to check out their website here! This incredible wedding venue is located in the heart of the Boise foothills. From every spot on the property, you can see the gorgeous foothills everywhere you look. I’ve worked in the foothills often, as you’ve seen here and here. Evan and Erika chose Stone Crossing because of the amazing panoramic views that would impress their friends and family traveling from all over the country for their wedding. Also, the foothills turn golden yellow and orange in the fall which perfectly matched their theme and colors! I have been an Idaho Wedding Photographer for 10+ years and their wedding was one of my all time favorites!
Retro Disco Themed Wedding
As I mentioned earlier, Evan and Erika LOVE dancing. They share a love for celebrating and a great party. Early on, Erika said the thing they were most excited about on their wedding day was just dancing. I laughed when they told me they would definitely be making it to their after party downtown once the wedding was over! I loved every detail that went into making their wedding feel like them. Evan wore a custom green velvet suit from Bespoke Boise. The colorful floral shirt underneath popped and felt so true to the retro 70 vibes they wanted! Erika wore a glam plunging neckline lace dress. Her makeup by Morgan couldn’t have been more perfect. She wanted dramatic cat eye liner and dark lipstick to match the overall fall aesthetic. As a Boise Wedding Photographer, it simply doesn’t get better than this.
The details by Foxx and Fern were also unbelievable. I have worked with Caitlin before in McCall for Lyndsey and Brett’s Lavish Elopement and her eye for design blows me away. The custom seating chart with jewel toned tassels were adorable. Custom retro designed signage added personality to every table. I couldn’t get over the gorgeous cigar lounge designed for their cocktail hour with a neon sign reading “to the moon and back”. Also, the mismatched jewel toned bridesmaids dresses were incredible!
